【NTUT Graduate & Doctoral Student Dorm ˗ Non-Guarantee Students 2026 Fall Semester Dorm】Waiting List (Lottery) and Bed Allocation Guidelines for the Dorm Accommodation Application Procedure

I. Important Notice: Dormitory and Fee Adjustments for the 2026 (115th) Academic Year

Policy Update: East Campus Dorm Applications for AY 2026

1. Regulatory Basis:

In accordance with the amendments to Articles 2 and 3 of the University’s Dormitory Management Regulations, the scope of eligibility for housing applications has expanded. Consequently, the University must prioritize the rights of students who meet the statutory priority criteria.

2. Assessment of Housing Supply and Demand

Following an evaluation of the bed supply and demand at the East Campus for the 114th academic year, the number of applications from first-year students has significantly exceeded the available capacity. This has resulted in a situation where Master’s students (Years 2–3) and Doctoral students (Years 2–6) are unable to be placed through the waitlist.

3. Policy for the 115th Academic Year

To protect student interests and prevent students from missing or delaying opportunities for off-campus housing while waiting for unavailable slots, "East Campus Dormitories" will be reserved exclusively for first-year applicants for the 115th academic year. Applications for the waitlist will not be open to returning students.

4. Suggestion & Note:

(1) We strongly advise current students with dorm needs to prioritize applications for other available campuses or to make rental housing arrangements early. These adjustments also apply to international/ overseas students.

(2) The above adjustments also apply to International/Overseas students. All students are urged to plan in advanced accordingly.

(3) Please ensure you plan your housing accordingly.

Current Student Waitlist Application & Bed Availability

A. International / Overseas Students

Guaranteed housing is provided for the first two years of study. Registration for this category was completed on Mar. 30, 2026.

B. Current Status for Female Graduate Students (Master's & Ph.D.)

1. Nangang Dorm (Female only): Only 1–2 beds are currently available for the current student waitlist lottery.

2. Yuantong Dorm (Female beds): Currently fully occupied for both undergraduate and graduate levels. No vacant beds are available at this stage.

C. Waitlist Application Mechanism (Limit: 1 Dormitory Choice per Person)

As vacancies may arise due to cancellations or withdrawals after the payment period begins, the University is opening waitlist registration for either Nangang Dormitory or Yuantong Dormitory to female students who wish to wait. This will establish a sequential backup waitlist.

1. Strict Rule: Each student may only select ONE dormitory for their waitlist

application. Duplicate entries are strictly prohibited.

2. Important Reminder for Yuantong Dorm Applicants: Since Yuantong Dormitory is currently at full capacity, any chance of placement depends entirely on whether current residents withdraw. Placement is NOT guaranteed. Please evaluate this risk carefully before applying. (Note: Co-living with undergraduate students or international students may occur).

D. Male Dormitories

Current bed allocations and subsequent waitlist procedures for male dormitories are functioning normally.

2026 (115th) Academic Year Dormitory Fee & Deposit Adjustments

1. Payment Frequency: Reduced from 4 installments per year to 1 installment per semester.

2. Billing Details: Winter and Summer breaks will be treated as standard, mandatory housing periods (no separate application required). The break accommodation fees will be combined and billed directly within your semester dormitory invoice.
