【NTUT Master & PhD Dorm -Current Resident Summer Break & Fall Semester】 2025 Summer Break and Guarantee Resident Application for the Fall Semester Dorm Announcement & Process (update the date to announce the Summer Break Dorm List )

A. General Information

(A) Dormitory Locations & Room Types

  • Three dormitories are available for Masters & PhD students. All rooms are four-person rooms.
    • East Dorm (On-campus)
    • Nangang Dorm (Off-campus, female-only)
    • Xinbei Dorm (Off-campus, male-only)

(B) Dormitory Duration

  • Fall Semester: Fe. 15 th, 2025, 3:00 PM – June 21st, 2025, before noon.
  • Summer Break: June 23th, 2025, 3:00 PM – Aug. 27th 2025 before noon.

(C) Dormitory Fees

  • Students are charged per phase and must apply and be reviewed for each phase.
  • An additional NT$1000 deposit is required per academic year.

a. Summer Break Dorm Fee (Short-term stays are not available. Fees are calculated based on full 66 days.)

  • East Dorm: NT$80/day (Total: NT$5280)
  • Nangang Dorm: NT$75/day (Total: NT$4950)
  • Xinbei Dorm: NT$65/day (Total: NT$4290)

b. Fall Semester Dorm Fee → Dormitory payment must be completed before check-in.

  • East Dorm: NT$9900
  • Nangang Dorm: NT$9000
  • Xinbei Dorm: NT$7850
  • Deposit: NT$1000 (required for all residents)

(D) Student Loan

  • Only students with Taiwanese nationality are eligible to apply for a student loan.

(E) Dormitory Assignment

  • Early admission domestic students: Assigned to off-campus dorms starting from the fall semester. Those continuing dormitory stay must complete the transfer before noon on the last day of summer break.
  • All international students: Assigned to off-campus dorms starting from the summer break.
  • Special identity residents, student leaders, and guaranteed residents: Assigned to East Dorm.
  • Important: Due to limited dormitory capacity, submission of an application does not guarantee a bed assignment.

B. Application Eligibility & Review Process

(A) Personal Information Protection

Collected personal information follows national regulations and NTUT’s data management policies. It will be used only for dormitory-related matters.

(B) Eligibility Criteria

  • Summer Break Dorm: Only current dormitory residents may apply. (All residents must fill out the application, regardless of whether they plan to stay.)
  • Fall Semester Dorm: Available to international students within the first two years of residency (including those who have withdrawn or taken a leave of absence).

(C) Application Information Review

  • Once submitted, application details cannot be modified. Incorrect information may lead to automatic cancellation without prior notice.

C. Application Timeline & Process

(A) ApplicantsMust meet the eligibility criteria outlined above.

(B) Schedule

  • Online Application Opens: Mar. 18th ~ Mar. 31st 2025 (10:00 AM)
  • Submission of Project & Research Proof: Apr. 3rd ~ Apr. 22nd 2025
  • Announcement of Review Results: Apr. 29th 2025 (OSA Website)
  • Dorm Fee Payment Deadline: Apr. 29th ~ May 6th 2025
  • Receipt Submission (if required): May 9th 2025
  • Summer Break Dormitory List Announcement: May 15th 2025
  • Fall Semester Dormitory List Announcement: Based on the dormitory application schedule for new students.

(C) Application Process

a. Log in to the online form (https://forms.gle/LQoNvosAHYgn4U2NA)and fill in the required details.

b. Application Steps:

    • Incorrect information may result in disqualification without notice.
    • Wait for review and approval.
    • Complete dormitory fee payment within the deadline.

D. Dormitory Payment & Receipt Submission

 (A) Payment Instructions

  • If assigned a dormitory space, payment must be completed before the deadline stated in the announcement.
  • Late payments will be considered as forfeited, and the application will be canceled afterwards.
  • Detailed payment steps are attached.

(B) Receipt Submission

  • Submission Method: Email.
  • Requirement: you need to email the receipt only when you finished the payment and the Taiwan Bank didn’t clear the account upon May. 9th.

Only when the dorm manager reply can ensure your right to accommodation.

  • Documents Required: Receipt or transaction screenshot (with the write-off number visible).

E. NTUT Dormitory Regulations

  • Regulation for Management of Student Dorm
  • Important Provisions:
    • Article 6: Dormitory spaces are limited, and NTUT reserves the final decision. Room or dorm changes are subject to approval.
    • Article 7: Residents cannot withdraw from the dormitory unless under special circumstances (leave of absence, withdrawal, transfer, etc.).
  • The Master & PhD Dorm Notice and Master & PhD Dorm Life Rules are attached below.

F. Notice

(A) The arrangement of dorm space, school reserves the right of final decision.

The dorm beds are limited, if finish paying the slip, we are not consent any reasons to apply refund except Article 7 of the Student Dormitory Regulations.

(B) The accommodation list will be announced on OSA website, please bring the receipt and identity to check in after dorm opens.

(C) For safety concern, only resident can enter the dorm.
