I. Overview of On-Campus & Off-Campus Housing, Residency Periods, Fees, Student Loans, and Move-Out Requirements

A. Dormitory Overview

NTUT currently provides four student dormitories (all four person rooms):

(A) East Campus Dormitory (On-campus)

(B) Nangang Dormitory (Off-campus, Female only)

(D) Xinbei Dormitory (Off-campus, Male only)

(E) Yuantong Dormitory (Off-campus)

B. Academic Year 115 Residency Schedule

(A) Fall Semester (115-1): Aug. 29, 2026 – Jan. 9, 2027 (before noon)

 (B) Winter Break: Jan. 11, 2027 (12:00 PM) – Feb. 18, 2027 (before noon), total 39 days.

Note: According to Article 6 of the Student Dormitory Management Regulations, residents who are assigned a new bed space by the university must relocate to their new room starting at 3:00 PM on Jan. 11.

(C) Spring Semester (115-2): Feb. 20, 2027 (3:00 PM) – June 26, 2027 (before noon)

(D) Summer Break: Starts June 28, 2027 at 3:00 PM (End date pending official academic calendar approval)

C. Dormitory Fees

Fees are billed according to the Regulations of Student Dormitory Fee Collection and Refunds.

Dormitory Deposit: NT$3,000 / Academic Year

(New residents must pay an additional NT$3,000 housing security deposit).

(A) Combined Billing Notice

Spring Semester housing fees and Summer Break housing fees will be combined into a single payment invoice. Please plan your personal finances in advance.

(B) Summer Break Daily Housing Rates

(No short-term stay options available; fees are calculated for the full summer session.).

a. East Campus Dorm: NT$95 / day

b. Nangang Dorm: NT$80 / day

c. Xinbei Dorm: NT$70 / day

d. Yuantong Dorm: NT$160 / day

Important Payment Notice: Payment and receipt verification for the spring semester (115-2) including summer stay must be completed before the end of the fall semester (115-1). Exact dates and payment windows will be announced on the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) website. Please be aware of the OSA website.

(C) Student loans are only available for Taiwan Nationals.

(D) Room Vacating Requirement:

Residents who do not apply for spring semester housing (115-2) including summer break must complete the checkout inspection and completely clear out their room before the end of the Winter Break stay. (Due to limited space, no luggage storage is provided).

 

II. Personal Data Statement & Eligibility Verification

A. Personal Information Protection:

Collected personal information follows national regulations and NTUT’s data management policies. It will be used only for dormitory-related matters.

B. Eligibility Criteria

(A) Current residents of the fall semester (115-1) only. (All current residents MUST complete the application form, regardless of whether you plan to renew your stay).

(B)  Dormitory Selection: Residents may only select their current dormitory. Applying for a different dormitory will result in immediate disqualification without prior notice.

(C) Spring intake international Students (Student ID starting with 113): Housing eligibility ends at the conclusion of the Winter Break stay.

C. Data Review

Information must be submitted via the designated online form for your current dormitory. Once submitted, entries cannot be modified. Inaccurate submissions will be deemed invalid and disqualified automatically.

III. Application Process & Schedule

(B) Review: Incorrect information will lead to immediate cancellation of your application without the option to edit.

(C) Timely Payment: Failure to pay on time will be considered a forfeiture of your housing rights. Your bed space will be canceled without further notice, and future application privileges will be revoked.

**Notice for Waitlisted Students: Current students who applied for the spring semester (115-2) waitlist in May 2026 must still select "Apply for spring semester (115-2 incl. Summer) Housing" in this form to secure their eligibility.

IV. Payment & Receipt Verification

Payment and receipt verification procedures will take place before the conclusion of the fall semester (115-1). Detailed dates and instructions will be announced separately on the OSA website.

V. Regulations, Guidelines, and Dormitory Rules

A. All residents be aware of the Student Dormitory Management Regulations and Deposit Implementation Guidelines to help maintain a clean and harmonious living environment. (View Regulations)

B. Key Policy Highlights:

(A) No Transfers Allowed (Article 6):

Article 6: Dormitory spaces are limited, and NTUT reserves the final decision. Room or dorm changes are subject to approval. (e.g., changing rooms, requesting moves from Xinbei to East Campus Dorm, or switching rooms for religious reasons).

(B) Article 7: Residents cannot withdraw from the dormitory unless under special circumstances (leave of absence, withdrawal, transfer, etc.). Please consider your personal plans carefully before applying.

VI. Key Reminders & Contact Information

A. The university reserves final authority over room allocation and available bed capacity.

B. Due to limited housing resources, no refunds will be issued once payment is made, except under the special conditions outlined in Article 7 of the management rules.

C. Pursuant to Article 8, students withdrawing or graduating from the university must check out within one week.

D. Please check the OSA website for bed assignment notices. Upon move-in day, present your payment receipt and ID card at the dormitory counter to check in.

E. Move-In Protocol: To ensure security and manage crowd control, only residents are permitted inside dormitory buildings during move-in. Parents, friends, and visitors must wait outside.

F. Any updates or unmentioned matters will be posted on the OSA website under "News" without individual notice.
