【NTUT Master & PHD DORM_ Non-Resident-Winter Break & Fall Semester】 2025 the application and the operation methods of waiting list of allocation accommodation for winter break dorm & fall semester empty beds dorm registration

A. Description of Matters

  (A)The current situation of the dorm

     a. There are three places of the Master & PhD dorm (All rooms are four-person

rooms), East dorm, Nangang dorm (off-campus, female only), Xinbei

dorm (off-campus, male only).

     b. The duration of the dorm

       (a) fall semester: Aug. 31st 2024 to Jan. 11th 2025 before noon.

       (b) winter break dorm: Jan. 13th 2025 noon to Feb. 13 2025 noon, total 32 days.

       (c) spring semester dorm: 3 p.m. Feb. 15th 2025 to June 21st 2025 before noon.

       (d) summer break dorm: start from 3 p.m. June 23rd 2025

    c. Dorm fee: you will be charged for 4 phases; you would need to apply and being reviewed each phase (plus NT$1000 deposit)

       (a) winter break dorm fee:( do not provide short stay, calculated depends on full days)

          aa. East dorm: NT$80 per day, total NT$2560.

          bb. Nangang dorm: NT$75 per day, total NT$2400.

          cc. Xinbei dorm: NT$65 per day, total NT$2080.

       (b) 2nd semester dorm fee

          aa. East dorm: NT$9900.

          bb. Nangang dorm: NT$9000.

          cc. Xinbei dorm: NT$7850

       (c) student loan: only Taiwan nationality could apply the loan.

(B) The arrangement of the dorm

     a. Applicant for the East dorm: 1st grade of the international student.

     b. Applicant for the off-campus dorm: 2nd grade of the international student.

  (C) The description of the application procedure

     a. Please log in the online form (https://forms.gle/nATovn7DxnYuwZBo8), register relevant info to wait for the dorm accommodation.

     b. This waiting list will constitute under these priorities as below:

 (a) Only those whose household registration is located outside the areas " Listed in Article 4 of the Student Dormitory Regulations" can participate in this allocation.

          (b) Students with the final status will be given priority, and the certification must be email to the OSA before the deadline.

The order is low-income families, students with disabilities, and low- and middle-income families.

         ** Overdue supporting documents will be regarded as a general student registration.

          (c) New graduate students and postgraduate students are given priority over old students.

          (d) Doctoral students have priority over master students. (Example: Doctoral students have priority over master students, but master students have priority over old doctoral students)

          (e) Those who both apply winter dorm & 2nd semester dorm has priority over just apply one.

          (f) After the bed allocation is obtained by priority student, when the numbers of next order are more than the empty beds, the draw will be held to arrange the accommodation.

B. The methods

  (A) The accommodation of the dorm:

      Those who are qualified, please select only one dorm depending on personal situation.

      *You could not select both in campus and off-campus dorm.

  (B) The qualification: New international students are eligible to reside at Taipei Tech Dormitories for the first 2 years. (Including drop out of school)

C. The explanation of the applicant

  (A) Special identity (students with disabilities, and low- and middle-income Families): Those who are qualified, still need to complete the dorm documents, who will be given priority to allocate the beds.

  (B) general identity: 1st grade of PhD is superior to the 1st grade od Master.

D. The schedule

    a. online form opens: Oct. 30th ~ Nov. 8th 5pm(you still have to finish paying the payment and submit the receipt)

    b. sort out & verify data: Nov. 9th ~Nov. 13th

    c. the result of application announces: Nov. 21st

    d. pays the dorm fee: Nov. 21st~Nov. 26th

    e. submit receipt: Nov. 21st ~Nov. 26th, the time you need to email the receipt only when you finished the payment and the Taiwan Bank didn’t clear the account upon Nov. 26th.

f. accommodation announcement:

     (a)winter break dorm accommodation list: Dec. 2nd

     (b)spring semester accommodation list: around Dec. 3rd

E. Please prepare your info in advance (it should be neatly and legibility)

  (A)The pic of your ARC

  (B)The pic of your passbook savings or bank account (passbook savings priority, choose one): For refunding the deposit.

      If a refund cannot be processed due to inaccurate or incorrect information provided, and if there is no cooperation within 15 days after notification, it will be considered as an automatic forfeiture, and the refunds will be transferred to the school's administrative fund.

F. Notice (Please be aware of your time arrangement to ensure your rights)

 If write both passbook savings and the bank account, it’s going to take the front side of passbook savings account or the front side picture provided as the refunding deposit account.

G. Personal Information Statement: The personal information collected in this activity will comply with the regulations of our country's personal information law and our school's personal information management system. It will

    only be used to "handle matters related to the activity" and will comply with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act to protect you. personal information.

  (A) Please provide the necessary info in your ARC card, please upload the pic of your ARC to be reviewed after registration. (If the info is filled out incorrectly or does not match during verification, it will affect the eligibility for

       the application.)

  (B) The dorm application includes a affidavit Letter, ARC, the pic of the passbook savings (priority)/bank account.

  (C) Description of the Purposes for Collecting Personal Data

     a. Affidavit Letter: to declare that I would abide by NTUT Regulation for Management of Student Dormitory, Deposit Rules of the Accommodation Fee and Taiwan Academic Internet Use Regulation etc...

     b. ARC: to verify dormitory application eligibility.

     c. the pic of the passbook savings (priority)/bank account: to refund the deposit.

H. The methods of how to pay the dorm fee and submit the receipt

  (A) Anyone who being announced to get the right of the space, delay paying the slip and delay emailing the receipt in the google file will be regarded as giving up the space and canceling the application afterwards.

  (B) The steps to pay the dorm fee (please check the attachment)

    a. log in Bill Inquire in Taiwan Bank website (https://school.bot.com.tw/newTwbank/StudentLogin.aspx)

    b. type in personal status according to fields

      (a) Collection category: please key in 191742

      (b)身分證字號及學號:ARC no. & Student ID no.

      (c) 識別碼:7 digits of date of birth in Chinese calendar, please follow these steps as below, ex. birthday19991205 is 0881205

    c. completes the payment

  (C) submits the receipt

    a. after finish paying the dorm fee, please submit the receipt via E-mail.

    b. submits the receipt before deadline:

After finishing paying the fee and the Taiwan Bank haven’t clear the account upon Nov. 26th, please submit the receipt or the screenshot of transaction details successfully (write-off number should be on it) to the dorm manager’s email address (scorpio_nov@ntut.edu.tw)to verify. 

Only when the dorm manager reply can ensure your right to accommodation.

  (A) Please check the relevant Regulation for Management of Student Dorm, the Deposit Rules of the Accommodation Fee to achieve the purpose of student life and to promote well managed dorm accommodation.

  (B) Special explanation of selected provisions

     a. According to NTUT Regulation for Management of Student Dorm Article 6,

       (a) The dorm beds are limited, the arrangement of dorm space, school reserves the right of final decision.

       (b)ex: switch dorm room or ask to switch dorm.

     b. According to NTUT Regulation for Management of Student Dorm Article 7, Dormitory residents can not withdraw, except on-leave, drop out, transfer, and special circumstances.

J. Notice

  (A) The arrangement of dorm space, school reserves the right of final decision.

The dorm beds are limited, if finish paying the slip, we are not consent any reasons to apply refund except Article 7 of the Student Dormitory Regulations.

(B) The accommodation list will be announced on OSA website, please bring the receipt and identity to check in after spring semester dorm opens.

(C) For safety concern, only resident can enter the dorm.
